It’s no surprise that opposites attract, and we’re not talking about relationships. The color block trend might be old news, but it’s back and hotter than ever. Often times, we find ourselves color-blocking without hesitation, but sometimes we question whether or not the colors work together. here are a few rules to abide by when color-blocking to keep the look clean and cohesive.

*Pair deep-hues with brights and vice-versa
*Choose colors flattering to your skin tone
*Pair neon and bright citrus colors with nudes
*Stick to the same saturation: Neons with neons and pastels with pastels
*Avoid blocking more than 4 colors (…no one likes a clown)

Want to color-block but feel like playing it safe? Color-block your accessories or stick to hues of the same color (sky blue + navy). Other great go-to combinations include:

* Cobalt Blue + Yellow or Orange
* Bright Pink + Peach + White
* Purple + Teal or Bright Blue
* Navy Blue + Hot Pink
* Coral + Grey
* Teal + Yellow + Navy

How will you color-block your look this season?
